Collide Rings puts a new spin on engagement and wedding rings for men
Two-piece engagement and wedding ring for men
DARIEN, CT, UNITED STATES, Feb. 3, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ — Connecticut-based jewelry designer Collide Rings will introduce the first-ever men’s two-part engagement and wedding ring via a Kickstarter campaign that will set will launch in February 2022. The ring features patented attachment technology that allows the engagement ring to attach to the wedding band to form a seamless ring. No need to worry about wearing two separate rings or using the same engagement ring as the wedding band. The ring consists of two distinctive bands that connect to form an expertly designed ring at the wedding.
Engagement rings for men have gained ground in recent years. According to a study by The Knot, 7% of all men receive and/or wear an engagement ring. About 6% of men in heterosexual relationships said they had received one, while 49% of male gay couples had exchanged an engagement ring (and 40% exchanged two).
Even though more and more men are wearing engagement rings, there has been no real innovation in the space to capture the growing needs and wants. Until now.
Collide Rings co-founder Kristen Smith said: “Functionally, our rings break with centuries-old traditions and allow couples to participate in the engagement process together. But we realized that our rings are much more than that. They symbolize something our society can’t seem to get enough of: equality. They promote the idea that both people in a relationship see themselves as equal to each other. That the two are equally committed to each other.
The first collection of rings featured on Kickstarter will feature hypoallergenic precious metals including yellow gold, white gold, rose gold and platinum. They will also feature multiple finish options including polish, satin, and wire brush. The collection contains three unique models:
Minimalist Design: A simple engagement ring that attaches to the wedding band to form a seamless ring. Both the engagement ring and the wedding ring can be individually personalized with various precious metal and finish options.
Inlay Design: A channel is inserted into the design of the minimal engagement ring to allow various precious metals and finishes to be incorporated into the minimal engagement ring to add contrast and style.
Stone Design: Infinity set stones are added to the minimal engagement ring design. Stone options include white diamonds, black diamonds, and sapphires.
All our ring designs use exclusively ethically sourced and recycled gold, platinum and palladium from United Precious Metal Refining. United Precious Metal Refining has supported the environmental and social impact issues of precious metal mining by supplying refined precious metals, sourced from industries other than mining, to the global jewelry market. They also operate in accordance with the EICC – GeSI Conflict-Free Sourcing initiative to source only from “conflict” areas of the world that undergo responsible supply chain due diligence. In other words, we take extra steps to ensure that our precious metals are recycled, ethically sourced, and comply with conflict-free sourcing initiatives and standards.
In addition to our base ring designs, Kickstarter backers can also claim a reversible silicone wedding and engagement ring. On one side of the ring, “Engaged” is engraved into the ring. On the other side “Married” is engraved.
