I Am Shauna Rae, Dr. Pimple Popper, Say Yes To The Dress, 7 Little Johnstons: TLC Announces Series Return – Canceled + Renewed TV Shows
TLC sets up its summer programming. I am Shauna Rae (above)Dr. Pimple Popper, Say Yes to the Dress, and 7 Little Johnstons are all releasing new episodes this summer while new seasons of After the 90 days, David & Annie: After the 90 days, Loren & Alexei: After the 90 days, and My big fabulous life will return later this year.
To cap off the stellar first seasons, TLC, the #1 primetime cable network with women ages 25-54 for the third straight year to date, announced the renewal of three freshman series in small groups: I AM SHAUNA RAE, DAVID & ANNIE: AFTER THE 90 DAYS and LOREN & ALEXEI: AFTER THE 90 DAYS. In their debut seasons earlier this year, all three averaged over 1.0 P2+, in addition to ranking in the top 5 freshman series for women 18-34 so far. This year. These beloved new series have left viewers wanting more and as the leader in family and relationship programming, TLC delivers exciting second seasons of their journeys.
Along with these renewals, TLC announced summer premiere dates for four fan-favorite series. DR. PIMPLE POPPER appears in the unknown, attacking lumps, inflamed bumps and rashes all over the body. Just when Randy Fenoli and the Kleinfeld team think they’ve seen it all, SAY YES TO THE DRESS celebrates its 15th anniversary of making brides’ dreams come true with brand new brides like never before. MY BIG FAT FABULOUS LIFE follows Whitney and the Thore family as they manage Babs’ recovery from a stroke. 7 LITTLE JOHNSTONS brings major changes to every child’s life and a Johnston moves in with a boyfriend.
I AM SHAUNA RAE – Returning Later in 2022 Season 2
Shauna is more determined than ever to live like every other 22-year-old. Standing 3ft 10in, his growth was stunted after a childhood battle with brain cancer. This season, she continues to struggle with the side effects of her condition and searches for answers to her growing medical questions. Shauna is in the driving seat (literally!) on her journey to independence as she begins driving lessons. Will she be able to pull off the huge feat of earning her license? Meanwhile, her parents, Patty and Mark, are looking for a new home that will have a separate living space for Shauna. However, Shauna and her younger sister, Rylee, consider moving out on their own…despite their parents’ concerns. In order for them to live independently, Shauna must first find a job. Of course, that’s easier said than done as some careers may be out of her reach given her childlike stature. The family visits her older sister Tara in Florida, and while they’re looking forward to some fun in the sun, they know it might not be long before things heat up between Tara and Shauna. Through it all, Shauna is still looking for love and exploring new ways to date, including meeting a man who also suffers from pituitary dwarfism. Will sparks fly between these two kindred spirits? DAVID & ANNIE: AFTER THE 90 DAYS – Returning later in 2022, Season 2
David and Annie return to Thailand for another attempt to secure visas for Annie’s brother, Jordan, and cousin, Amber, to attend school in America. This time, David’s daughter, Ashley, finally comes to meet Annie’s family in their village and then they head to the tourist town of Phuket. The hope is to immerse children in English and give them American experiences like barbecue and amusement parks. At the end of their trip, will the children’s language skills improve enough to pass their visa interview and come to America?
