Staten Island’s Best Dressed: Rose Bolella and Salvatore Toscano’s Engagement Party at the Grand Plaza
STATEN ISLAND, NY — The best-dressed photos of the week come from Staten Islanders Rose Bolella and Salvatore Toscano’s engagement party.
The elegant affair took place on March 18, 2022 at the Grand Plaza with cherished family and friends. The couple will wed on their engagement anniversary, July 27, 2023, at their destination wedding in Puerto Rico.
“The best part of our engagement party was finally being able to get everyone we love together in one place to eat, drink, dance and celebrate one of the happiest times of our lives,” Rose said.
Daughter of Christopher and Gladys Bolella of Great Kills, the bride-to-be is an alumnus of Manhattan College, where she earned her bachelor’s degree, and CUNY/College of Staten Island, where she earned her master’s degree in social work. She is a social worker in the adolescent inpatient unit of a psychiatric hospital.
Sal, the future groom, is the son of Vincent and Linda Toscano, also from Great Kills. He attended the College of Staten Island and currently works as a Local 40 ironworker in New York City.
“Sal and I met through a friend in high school,” Rose shares lovingly. “He was my date at prom and during prom weekend he asked me to be his girlfriend. He proposed on July 27, 2021 while we were vacationing at our favorite resort in Punta Cana on the flyover of one of my favorite restaurants at sunset, I had no idea what his proposal was and was completely shocked and excited!
