Nicola found the inspiration and opportunity to do the shoot on social media. “A photographer posted on Facebook the story of another woman who had one and asked if anyone was interested. All my friends were tagging me because I had just separated from my husband, saying I had to go, so I did,” says the happy singleton.

“I’ve never done a photo shoot in my life, so I didn’t know what to do. I told Jenine, my photographer, that she would need to tell me how to pose and stuff because I didn’t know what to do .”

Nicola says her marriage failed despite everything she did to try to save it.
